Kap was presented for the NobleRussell outdoor seating competition in 2007. The brief was to design outdoor seating for the commercial sector to coincide with the UK smoking ban. Kap is a polyurethane cover which makes standard traffic bollards more comfortable when used for temporary seating. The piece was inspired by research into how people use existing street furniture.
